Urgent Action: Animals’ Bill Voted On This Week

Kitten rescued from pound.

URGENT ACTION

This Thursday 22 October Clover Moore’s Animals’ (Regulation of Sale) Bill will be voted on in NSW Parliament.

We need your help!

We need the NSW Government to vote yes to the Animals’ Bill to protect companion animals from exploitation, neglect, and abandonment, both at the start of their lives and after adoption.
Additionally, we need the NSW Government to support a Parliamentary Inquiry into the pet industry so it’s true impact can be fully understood. Our animal companions need greater representation and protection under the law.

Before the bill is debated this Thursday, we need you to phone the Office of Premier Nathan Rees on (02) 9228 5239 to let him know that you want the Government to vote yes to the Animals’ Bill, and to support an inquiry into the pet industry.

A phone call is the most effective way of communicating your message, however you may also wish to send an email to thepremier@www.nsw.gov.au.

We need this to happen before the vote takes place this Thursday. Please reply to this email to let us know once you have done this.

Thank you for your help and support.
